Elastic round pin, also called spring pin, is a hollow cylinder with no ends and with axial groove in it and with chamfers on the two ends. It is used to position, connect and fix between components. Good elasticity and shear resistance, the external diameter of this kind of pin is slightly larger than assembly aperture concerned.

Uses of round pin：
It is mainly used to position and to connect components, it is fixed in the pin slot through interference fit. When it is used in positioning, round pin is generally subject to no loads or very small loads, no fewer than 2 in number, which are distributed in symmetric direction of the whole structure of connected parts, the longer the interval is, the better. Each pin in each connecting part is one to two times as long as the minor diameter.
Types of round pin:
There are common round pin, round pin with internal crew thread (cylindrical pin with internal screw thread), round pin with screw thread, pin with holes, elastic round pin and so on
